Please follow this link to get to the new site where there's space for samples of the patterns plus links to demo videos which give some idea of how I use the Alesis SR16.

The patterns are for sale now at a price of $7.50. That will go towards covering the costs of running the site / servers etc. If there's enough interest, I'll programme some more stuff. Still, even though it's nearly 2015, as a professional drummer and piano player, I don't see the SR16 as being redundant by any means. Possibly it's greatest strength is it's popularity. Your SR16 breaks down? There's a good chance that within hours, in many cities, you can buy one used, locally and have your patterns installed ready to work for your next gig. With a bit of preparation, using the SR16 to trigger sound modules is easy of you feel the SR16's sounds are dated so, since a lot of people are upgrading bits of kit with drum sound sections in, a lot of people with SR16s have access to more modern sounds if that's what they want. For me, the SR16's greatest talent is the way it can be operated with two remote switches operated by feet, knees .... whatever. Taking my hands off the keyboard to hit buttons on a drum machine just to get it to hit a tom and then a crash is not my idea of fun.

Have a look at the videos and listen to the sounds and remember, all the sounds are dry and unprocessed exactly as they come out of the SR16. EQed through a mixer and compressed and using the AUX OUTS as well makes a hell of a difference ... have fun!
